HAILAKANDI (ASSAM), APRIL 7. The district court here on Thursday adjourned the hearing of a case filed by a local cricket body, pleading to direct the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to stop all financial grants to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association for its failure to control its affiliate units. The Civil Judge, M. Rahman, adjourned the hearing till April 25 following representations by BCCI, the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association and the Assam Cricket Association. The three cricket bodies prayed for provision of an extension of time to file a reply to the petition moved by Hailakandi Cricket Association, an affiliate of the Assam Cricket Association. PTI
