Pondicherry
By Our Staff Reporter
PONDICHERRY, APRIL 7 . Members of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Bharatiya Janata party today registered their protest against listing of their questions in the unstarred category, as it would "deprive them of an opportunity to take up people's issues." After question hour, R. Siva (DMK) and A.M. Krishnamoorthy (BJP) questioned the listing of their queries in the `unstarred category'. S.P. Sivakumar (DMK) argued that if these questions could not be taken up today they could be included in tomorrow's agenda. The Leader of the Opposition, R.V. Janakiraman (DMK), said all the members were punctual to the House at question hour as they were keen that their queries be taken up and debated. If the questions were not listed in the starred category, the members felt let down in the discharge of their duties. The Speaker, M.D.R. Ramachandran, said he had no objection to listing the questions for tomorrow. But it depended on the replies from the departments concerned.
