CHENNAI, APRIL 7. Rescue teams working at the building crash site on Santhome High Road on Thursday recovered the body of the building's watchman. They suspect there could be one more person dead below the rubble as chances of survival are very remote. Police identified the watchman as Veer Bahadur (33). With this, the death toll in the building collapse has gone up to five. The five-storeyed commercial complex had partially collapsed on Tuesday evening, trapping beneath it the contract workers who were taking up the renovation work. The incident sent shockwaves in the predominantly residential colony. Rescue work continued for third day today with expert guidance. Police have also intensified their search for the owner of the building Saifuddin Balmar.
