MUMBAI, APRIL 7. Reliance Infocomm today refuted Anil Ambani's allegations that it tapped his phones and those belonging to his personal staff. "We are shocked about the reports in a certain section of the media about a letter allegedly written by Anil Ambani to the Home Minister seeking a probe into alleged tapping of his and his personal staff phones," said a release from Reliance Infocomm. It denied any attempt by the company or its officials to tap anyone's phone, "much less that of Anil Ambani, vice-chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Ltd or his office." "The allegation is baseless and malicious and the company strongly refutes the same," it added.
