Senior leaders of BJP to attend jubilee function

MANGALORE, APRIL 7. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will organise a silver jubilee programme here on April 24 for which the party leaders Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Uma Bharti, and Pramod Mahajan are expected, according to the district party unit president, Pratap Simha Nayak.

Mr. Nayak said that as part of the celebrations, a party development programme will be initiated. For this, the party will constitute gram panchayat-level Mahila Morcha, Yuva Morcha, and Dalit Morcha units and train members of these units.

Blood donation and legal aid camps for the poor will be held. A foundation stone for the party building will be laid at Kodialbail. When completed, the party office will have individual offices for MPs, MLAs and MLCs and a spacious hall, he added.
