Hyderabad
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD, APRIL 7. The Deputy Mayor, Subhash Chanderji, has urged the State Government to issue the necessary orders to enable regularisation of scores of constructions that either have deviations or have come up unauthorisedly in the city. Speaking to presspersons here on Thursday, Mr. Chanderji said the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) would earn considerable revenue if the Government issued orders on regularisation. "My estimate is that the civic body will be richer by at least Rs. 50 crores if the step is taken," he said. This way, the civic body would be spared of the need to approach banks for loans for the proposed flyovers in different parts of the city. When a similar drive was taken up last time, the civic body had received more than 5,700 applications seeking regularisation. The Deputy Mayor also asked the Government to do away with the need for Town Survey Land Record (TSLR) issued by the revenue authorities for those intending to construct a building. The general body of the corporation had passed a resolution to this effect and had sent it to the Government for necessary action.
