KPCC flag day

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, APRIL 7. The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has decided to observe April 9 as `flag day.' This was being observed in connection with the southern region rally being organised by the committee on April 13, the reception committee convenor, K. Mohankumar, said.

Development projects

The Government will take up development projects to bring the Kerala Health Research Welfare and Society out of the red, the Health Minister, K.K. Ramachandran, has said. He was inaugurating the State conference of the KHRWS Employees Union here today. Temporary employees would be regularised and anomalies in service conditions would be rectified, he said. The State president, T.V. Chandramohan, MLA, presided.

Film appreciation

The Kerala Children's Film Society and Chalachitra Academy are organising a five-day film appreciation workshop for students at the Animation Centre from April 25. Details can be had on phone numbers 2342623 and 2448519, according to a society release.

Osteoporosis clinic

The Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences will be organising an arthritis and osteoporosis clinic from 2 p.m. to 3.30 on second Saturdays under the guidance of R. Ayyappan Nair. Registration and consultation is free; Twenty per cent less will be charged for investigation.

Yoga class

The Holistic Medicine and Stress Research unit of the Medical College is conducting yoga and meditation classes for students above 10 years. The 15-day course will begin on April 15. Those interested should contact on phone numbers 2473681 or 2528300, an official release said.

Elected

The annual general body meeting of the T.T. Kesavan Sastry Foundation held here on Wednesday elected T.K. Aniyan as president and Aranmula Sasi as general secretary. T.A. Ayyappan is the vice-president, C.V.Sanal Kumar joint secretary, P. Kochuraman treasurer, T.K. Layanji convenor C.D. Sasikumar general convenor and K.S. Indira Bai women's forum convenor.
