Around the City

Generally cloudy sky forecast

The city recorded a maximum temperature of 28.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 20.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday. It also recorded 4.6 mm of rainfall. The relative humidity was 88 per cent.

At the Airport, the maximum temperature was 29 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature 20 degrees Celsius. There was 1.6 mm of rainfall. The relative humidity was 93 per cent.

The forecast for Friday is: the sky will be generally cloudy with one or two spells of rainfall likely in the evening or night. The maximum temperature will be around 30 degrees Celsius.

Entrance test

Entrance test for admission to VI Standard in Navodaya Residential School in Adakamaranahalli and Murarji Desai Residential School in Chamarajapet will be held at 11 a.m. on April 10. The test will be conducted at the Rajarajeshwari Primary and Secondary School in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. Students appearing for the test have been asked to come with hall tickets.

Training

The Bangalore Mahanagara Palike has called for applications from candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward Communities, for free electrical wireman training. M.R. Hariram, Consultant Neo-natologist, Sagar Apollo Hospital, has been selected President of the Karnataka State National Neonatology Forum.

Prashanth S. Urs of M.S. Ramaiah Memorial Hospital and Naveen Benakappa of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health have been selected Honorary Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

The office-bearers were selected at the annual general body meeting on March 26, according to a press release.
