DOS HERMANAS (SPAIN), APRIL 8. P. Hari Krishna had to settle for a 73-move draw with Russia's Alexander Rustemov in the seventh round of the Dos Hermanas international chess tournament here on Thursday. Hari now has 3.5 points in the 10-player field and shares the third spot. Azerbaijan's Teimour Radjabov leads with 4.5 points. Two more rounds remain in this round-robin competition. Hari, playing white, did try and exert pressure during the later part of the Queens Gambit Lasker's Defence game but did not get the desired position. After a series of early exchanges that left the players with a rook, an opposite-coloured bishop and six pawns each after 25 moves, Rustemov managed to establish an advanced queenside passed pawn but could not maintain it for long. Thereafter, Hari had some chances but not good enough to earn him a victory. On a day when four out of five games ended in draws, top seed Alexey Dreev defeated Ruben Felgaer to reach 3.5 points. The results (seventh round): Teimour Radjabov (Aze) (4.5) drew with Lenier Dominguez (Cub) (2.5); Zurab Azmaiparashvili (Geo) (4) drew with Miguel Illescas (Esp) (3); P. Hari Krishna (3.5) drew with Alexander Rustemov (Rus) (3.5); Alexey Dreev (Rus) (3.5) bt Ruben Felgaer (Arg) (3.5); Oleg Korneev (Rus) (3) drew with Sergey Karjakin (Ukr) (4).
