BANGALORE, APRIL 8. Holders State Bank of Mysore (SBM) SC scored an emphatic 69-run win over DTDC SC to make the final of the industries cricket tournament, conducted by the Karnataka Industries Sports & Arts Association, here. Batting first, SBM SC totalled 318 in 45 overs with state Ranji cricketer B. Akhil scoring a quick 117 while Viswanath made an unbeaten 42. In reply DTDC SC could muster only 249 for four despite Sandeep Lele's brilliant 120. The scores: (semifinal): SBM SC 318 in 45 overs (A. Akhil 117, Viswanth n.o 42) bt DTDC SC 249 for four in 45 overs (Sandeep Lele 120, Sujith 77). Quarterfinals: Corporation Bank SC 216 for nine in 45 overs lost to Vijaya Bank SC 217 for six in 37 overs (S.N. Amith n.o 87, Mahesh 44).
