Celebrity golf for a noble cause

BANGALORE, APRIL 8. Celebrities — film stars and cricketers with Geet Sethi and Anju Bobby George adding variety — will come together for a tee-off at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) on April 30 for a cause.

Vision of India, a humanitarian organisation alongwith Airtel is organising this mega event, Airtel Celebrity golf, to raise funds for the underprivileged and for AIDS awareness.

Kapil Dev, the captain of the 1983 World Cup winning Indian cricket team, who promotes `Khushi' a Delhi based NGO to support the underprivileged, speaking to the press lauded the efforts of the organiser's, Vision of India, in coming up with such a noble cause.

Ace woman golfer Shruti Khanna and former cricketer Venkatesh Prasad too spoke at the briefing.

During the prize distribution function on April 30, at the Royal Orchids the new landmark hotel next to the Golf Course, Anju Bobby George and Pankaj Advani, will be presented the `Achiever's award'. — Our Sports Reporter
