Tamil Nadu is champion

JAIPUR, APRIL 8. Tamil Nadu, represented by Dr. P.D. Boaz, K.R. Venkataraman, K. Krishna Kumar, Sree Krishnan, Kirubakaramoorthy and C.D. Badrinath, clinched the T.P. Khosla Trophy, beating WBBA `A' in the final of the team-of-four duplicate event by a narrow margin of 8 IMP (143-135). At the halfway stage, WBBA `A' was down by 38 IMP.

The West Bengal team of J.P. Goenka, Badal Das, S.N. Dey Sarkar, Kamal Roy and Swarnendu Banerjee played positively though it lost.
