Woman kills husband, ends life

MANGALORE, APRIL 8. A case of a woman fatally assaulting her husband and later ending her life has been reported from Pokkigudde at Moodanadugodu village under Bantwal rural police station limits on Friday.

Police stated that Seethamma (52), wife of Kunjappa Poojary (75) allegedly beat him with some hard object following a quarrel between the two.

Later realising that her husband had succumbed to injuries, Seethamma reportedly ended her life by hanging herself in their house. Bantwal Rural police have registered a case. Senior police officials visited the spot.

Driver assaulted

Two persons travelling in a car reportedly assaulted a KSRTC bus driver at Kemminje near CAMPCO chocolate factory under Puttur Town Police station limits in the early hours today. Police said that Arun Rebello and co-passenger in a car allegedly beat up the complainant, K. Narayan Rai, bus driver accusing him of not allowing their vehicle to pass.
