NAGERCOIL, APRIL 9. The Bejan Singh Eye Hospital today joined an elite group of centres across the world to host the latest generation technology for personalised vision correction `Zyoptix - 100'. Launching of `Zyoptix - 100' at Bejan Singh Eye Hospital near here on Saturday, the General Manager - Refractive Business, Bausch & Lomb India Limited, Rajat Goel, said a combination of the technical know-how of Bausch&Lomb with the medical expertise at Bejan Singh Eye Hospital, the centre would provide access to one of the world's most advanced vision correction procedures to people from the entire region. Zyoptix was based on the space age technology first utilised by the NASA in the United States to map the surface of the moon. The same principle was harnessed to produce the most accurate map of the eye and perform corrections that were not only accurate but were also customised to each individual eye. Zyoptix today was the new gold standard for vision correction surgery throughout the world, said Rajat Goel.
