DUBAI, APRIL 9. The Kerala Government will soon join the bandwagon of budget airlines with the participation of overseas Keralite investors. The Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy, addressing the fourth Qatar Malayali Conference, said that the proposed Kerala Airways would be modelled after the successful airport project at Nedumbassery built by the State Government in collaboration with Keralite investors in Gulf countries. ``From my discussions with Keralites here, I have realised that the biggest issue of the Malayali expatriates is the high airfares," he said. "The State Government is extremely committed and would make all possible efforts to solve this issue,'' Mr. Chandy added. UNI
