NEW DELHI, APRIL 9. An 11-year-old girl and her four-year-old brother were found murdered in their house at Bawana in North-West Delhi on Friday night. The police suspect that the girl had been criminally assaulted before the assailants strangled her and her brother to death. The parents of the victims, who are labourers, told the police that they asked their daughter to go back home with her two brothers, the youngest being two-month-old, around 4 p.m. When they returned two hours later, they found the house locked from outside. When they entered, they discovered their daughter and son lying in an unconscious state with cloth wrapped around their necks, while their youngest son was lying on a cot. The children were rushed to a hospital where they were declared dead on arrival. A medical examination revealed that the girl had been assaulted before being murdered.
