Sanctioning of teacher posts: official clarifies

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, APRIL 9. The Principal Secretary of School Education, S. Chellappa, clarified on Friday that he was not involved in the sanctioning of aided teacher posts for any school in the State.

Referring to a news item that appeared in these columns on April 6 with a headline, `Aided teacher posts: YSR pulls up official', he said he was `innocent' in the matter of sanctioning such posts for a high school in Vijayawada and another in Bhimavaram.

The Hindu had reported that the official was hauled up for `indiscriminate' sanctioning of aided posts on the basis of information provided by the Chief Minister's office and a note faxed later.
