Billiards & Snooker
NEW DELHI, APRIL 10. Seven-time World billiards champion and the country's most popular cueist, Geet Sethi, on Sunday threw his weight behind inclusion of cue sports in the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in the national capital and said he would surely like to represent the country in those Games. The Billiards and Snooker Federation of India has been making an all out effort to get the sport included in the 2010 Games and has already sent a proposal to the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). With Sethi's name being one of the selling points of the sport on the international stage, the BSFI was shocked to read about the 44-year-old's ``retirement'' plans and had sent him an SOS to reconsider. In fact, BSFI Vice-President Ravi Tandon sent a letter to Sethi requesting him to reconsider his decision and support the Federation's effort in making an entry into the Commonwealth Games. PTI
