Hospital inaugurated
Promoted by Lala Munni Lal Mange Ram Charitable Trust, Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute is an initiative of Action Group of Companies, one of the country's leading business conglomerates. Natural Health Day observed
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shastri emphasised on promotion of nature cure and yoga. "Naturopathy and yoga have a role to play in curing diseases related to tension and faulty lifestyle,'' he added. A symposium was also organised on prevention and management of cancer, besides an exhibition on nature cure and yoga.
Stress on research, learning
Prof Yashpal said marking system should be replaced by grading system and that compartments in examinations at all levels should be abolished. "This should be applicable not only to schools but also to higher courses," he said. He stressed the need for convergence of various disciplines that would help provide a fillip to scientific exploration. More than 30 distinguished speakers from as many as 12 countries presented their papers at the symposium.
