AHMEDABAD, APRIL 10. More than 3,000 policemen began security preparations on Sunday that will convert Ahmadabad's cricket stadium into a security fortress for the limited-overs international between India and Pakistan on Tuesday. No person without a ticket for the one-day international and an identification card will be allowed to approach the stadium, located on the outskirts of the western Indian city of Ahmadabad, police Inspector General P.K. Jha said. Jha said the entire road leading to the Motera Stadium would remain under close scrutiny during the next two days. ``Ticket-holders entering the stadium will also have to carry some identification, which will be checked by police officers at the entry point,'' said Jha, adding that police had been issued orders to detain anyone loitering within 800 meters (half a mile) of the stadium or groups of more than four persons.
