The columns show maximum and minimum temperature in Celsius, rainfall during last 24 hours (tr-trace) and total rainfall in mm since Mar. 1, 2005. Thundershowers likely in T.N. CHENNAI, APRIL 10. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Lakshadweep and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema, Telangana, Coastal and North Interior Karnataka. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are: Ramanathapuram 5, Watrap (Virudhunagar dt.) 4, Rajapalayam (Virudhunagar dt.) 3. Erode, Kumarapalayam (Nammkal dt.) and Sankaridurg (Salem dt.) 2 each and Valparai, Cheranmadevi, Ambasamudram and Nanguneri (all Tirunelveli dt.), Sathyamangalam (Erode dt.) and Mysore 1 each. On Saturday, the maximum temperature fell appreciably at a few places over North Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh rose at a few places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Coastal Karnataka, and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Coastal Karnataka, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, above normal at one or two places over rest Telangana, Rayalaseema, rest Coastal Karnataka, South Kerala, South Tamil Nadu, appreciably below normal at a few places over North Tamil Nadu, below normal at a few places over rest North Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Nizamabad, Ramagundam, Kurnool and Nandyal recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degree Celsius in the region. FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh Coastal and South interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Telangana and north interior Karnataka.
