Police absence at guesthouse irks MSR

By Our Staff Reporter

WARANGAL, APRIL 10. The Endowments Minister and in-charge of Warangal district, M. Satyanarayana Rao, expressed displeasure at the functioning of the police on Sunday.

The Minister, who reached the Irrigation guesthouse at Chinthagattu camp in the early hours, found no policeman there. He sought an explanation from the district Collector and officials conveyed the same to the Superintendent of Police, M.S. Ravindra, who immediately rushed to the spot.

The Minister reportedly pulled him up. However, Mr. Satyanarayana, later speaking to The Hindu , said he only asked the SP why there was no security at the guesthouse.

When contacted, the SP said that policemen were made available at the Circuit guesthouse, while the Minister chose to stay at the Irrigation guesthouse. "It's only a communication gap," he said.
