BANGALORE, APRIL 10. A woman, along with her brother-in-law, allegedly murdered her husband in their house on Marathhalli Main Road on Sunday night. The police said Parvathi (26) and her brother-in-law, Nagaraj, allegedly smashed the head of Venkatesh (30) with a stone, killing him instantly. Venkatesh suspected that his wife and Nagaraj had an affair and the three quarrelled frequently. The police suspect this to be the cause for Venkatesh's murder. The police have arrested Parvathi while Nagaraj is at large. Parvathi has two children.
Killed in accident
Three persons were killed and one was injured in road accidents in the city since Saturday morning. The police said Vijay (18) of Srirampuram was killed and Ramakashi (23), a constable with S.R. Nagar police, was injured when a van hit them near Malleswaram Circle at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Vijay died at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences while Ramakashi is said to be out of danger at Mallige Nursing Home. Parvez (35), an employee of Bangalore Mahanagara Palike and working with its ward office in Vasanthnagar, was killed when a two-wheeler reportedly hit him near Savera Hotel on Mahatma Gandhi Road on Saturday night. He died on the spot, the police said. The rider, Varun Sharma, an Master of Social Work student of Tata Institute in Mumbai, has been arrested. A 45-year-old man was killed when a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus ran over him near the bus depot on G.T. Road in Chickpet Traffic Police Station limits.
