This Day That Age
The National Executive of the Praja Socialist Party, meeting in New Delhi on April 11, adopted a resolution stating that "after giving careful consideration to all the aspects of the Avadi resolution of the Congress on the Socialistic Pattern of Society, the party is of the firm opinion that these resolutions do not constitute a fundamental change in the policy of the Congress." Ruling out the idea of coalition with the Congress, the party, however, did not rule out restricted cooperation in constructive activities. Dr. P.C. Ghosh presided. Mr. Jaya Prakash Narayan, who was present, appealed to the members to extend their full cooperation for the success of the Bhoodan Week to be observed from April 13 to April 18.
