GE Shipping acquires new vessel

MUMBAI:, Great Eastern Shipping Company has acquired a newly built anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTSV) and named it `Malaviya Twenty One'. Built at Bharati Shipyard Ltd (BSL), the vessel has a Bollard Pull capacity of 133 tonnes and is capable of catering to the deepwater oil fields, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.The company's fleet now stands at 73 vessels - 42 ships and 31 offshore assets. With the addition of `Malaviya Twenty One', GE Shipping owns six vessels, capable of supporting the platforms in deepwater oil fields, the company said.
