Two national selectors for semifinals & final

MUMBAI, APRIL 11. The BCCI Secretary Mr. S.K. Nair said that two national selectors will be in the city for the semifinals and final of the All India Knock out tournament to be played at the Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium, Cricket Club of India.

According to Mr. Nair this season the national selectors were present for nearly ninety per cent of the BCCI-run tournaments.

Last year's winner, Mumbai will take on Uttar Pradesh at the Wankhede and Tamil Nadu will play Bengal at the Brabourne Stadium. The home team won its quarterfinal match against Orissa, while Uttar Pradesh got the better of Ranji Trophy runner up Punjab.

Bengal which struggled right through the season began its campaign in the one-day tournament in style with a fluent win over Railways. Tamil Nadu prevailed over Baroda by 30 runs on the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
