ABB bags NTPC, Power Grid orders

BANGALORE:, ABB has bagged India's first major equipment order for 765 kV extra high voltage (EHV) transformers and shunt reactions from the National Thermal Power Corporation and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. These will be the largest transformer banks and the highest voltage class transformers to be in installed in India. The combined value of the orders, for the ABB Group is around $80 million dollars. The transformers and shunt reactors will be manufactured at ABB's factory in Ludvika, Sweden.
