Eswaramoorthy stuns Javeed

COIMBATORE, APRIL 11. Eswaramoorthy of Surendran Sports Academy (Erode) toppled defending champion Javeed of Masters Billiards Academy (Chennai) 53-46, 73-29 and entered the pre-quarterfinal of the second open non-ranking snooker tournament on Monday.

In the doubles, Karthik (TCE) and Arun Prasad (CBA) bounced back from a one-frame deficit to oust Harish and Raju 17-57, 54-16, 69-17 for a place in the second round. Earlier, Samerjit (CBA) and Anthony (YMCA) edged out Academy-mates Boopathy and K. Mani 43-40, 69-76, 61-56 for a quarterfinal berth.
