Tiruchi
By Our Staff Reporter
TIRUCHI, APRIL 11. A 41-year old man was held at the airport here today after he was found to have obtained a passport under a fictitious name and giving a bogus address. The accused has been identified as Rajendran (41), of Melapanaiyur in Tiruvarur district. Airport sources said that Rajendran left for Saudi Arabia in October 1997 and worked there for eight years. He returned to Tiruchi by a Sri Lankan Airlines flight from Colombo today. On suspicion, the immigration authorities conducted an enquiry with him during which it was found that Rajendran had allegedly obtained the passport under a fictitious name and by giving false address. He was later handed over to the Airport Police.
