AIADMK's days in power are numbered: Vaiko

By Our Special Correspondent

CUDDALORE, APRIL 11. The AIADMK government was strangulating democracy in the Assembly, but the trend would not continue for long, as the days of the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, in power are numbered, said Vaiko, general secretary of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.

He was addressing the MDMK cadres at a camp organised here on Monday for taking stock of the party's performance.

Mr. Vaiko said in the next Assembly election, the AIADMK would be routed, whereas the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam would come back to power "and none could prevent it."

He asserted that the Democratic Progressive Alliance remained quite strong.
