MSR covers five villages

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 11. The Minister for Endowments, M Satyanarayana Rao's Praja Patham programme was held in five villages of Thimmapur mandal on Monday. The programme was started in Vachnuru village and completed in Nedunuru village covering Ramhanumannagar, Jugundla, Laxmidevipalli villages of Thimmapur mandal. All along his visit, he interacted with farmers, women SHG members, elderly persons and schoolchildren in his own style of Telangana dialect and won the hearts of people.

He asked people, "yemi samasyalunnayi, yemi chestunnaru'' (what problems do you have and what are you doing). When people spoke about drought, he asked them to pray to God for rain as he was also doing the same.

Interacting with schoolchildren, he asked about their names and classes they were studying in. At Ramhanumannagar, the Minister said that the present-day children were lucky as they had chairs and all the facilities in their schools. "In my school days, we did not have chairs to sit in the classroom and there were no other facilities," he remarked.

Interacting with women, Mr Satyanarayana Rao said women were the future of the country. He asked women SHG members to rear sheep and buffaloes for better profits. He also inquired about bank linkage and financial assistance to them. On his way, he noticed some elderly persons and asked about their well-being. For some elderly persons, the Minister instructed the authorities to sanction old-age pension and white ration cards.

The Minister announced release of Rs 1.5 lakhs to Vachunuru village for laying of side bore wells and purchase of motor for the drinking water supply. He also reviewed the ongoing drinking waters works in the village.
