Rain

forecast

The sky will be partly cloudy on Tuesday, according to the forecast for Bangalore. Rain or thundershowers are likely towards evening/night. The maximum temperature will be around 32 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 20.6 degrees Celsius. There was light rainfall. The relative humidity was 55 per cent.

At the airport, the maximum temperature was 30.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum 20.5 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was 50 per cent.

Interior design course

Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women, Malleswaram, will organise a six-month course in interior design for housewives and students from May. Workshop

for children

The Golden Bead, a creative house of art, craft, pottery and theatre, will

hold a summer workshop for children. The morning session (for those in the age group of five to seven) will have painting, drawing, story telling and clay work. The afternoon session (eight for those between eight and 18) will have glass painting and glass craft, papier mache and 3-D work, painting, drawing and ceramic work. YMCA to hold camps

Applications invited

Applications have been invited for the post of project assistant for research on lake water quality management to be taken up by Bangalore University and the Department of Statistics. A fellowship of Rs. 4,000 a month will be given for two years. Candidates with M.Sc. (Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Environmental Science) with 55 per cent marks and one year's experience in water quality or hydrobiology are eligible.
