This Day That Age
The Air India International's Constellation, the Kashmir Princess, which was on a flight from Hong Kong to Jakarta carrying eleven passengers and a crew of eight crashed in the sea off Sarawak on April 11. The airliner was chartered by the Chinese Government. The passengers were on their way to the Afro-Asian conference in Bandung. Three survivors from the ill-fated Constellation landed in Singapore on April 12, according to a cable message received by the Air India International at Santa Cruz airport. Earlier reports said the wreckage of the missing Constellation had been found in the sea off Great Natoena island, 250 miles northeast of Singapore. This is the second accident in the history of Air India International.
