BANGALORE, APRIL 12. The Governor, T.N. Chaturvedi, has condoled the death of C.D. Narasimhaiah. Prof. Narasimhaiah, the Governor said, was a pioneer in the Indian English literary field and an innovative scholar. He had created a new generation of English writers by opening Dhvanyaloka. His pioneering studies on Nehruvian literature brought him fame and recognition. Mr. Chaturvedi, who had met Prof. Narasimhaiah during his visit to Dhvanyaloka recently, said his works are recognised as reference material in universities across the world. The Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, said the world of literature was poorer with the death of Prof. Narasimhaiah. His contribution to Indo-Anglian writings in English was commendable.
