HYDERABAD, APRIL 12. State Bank of India recorded a comfortable 5-1 win against Accountant General (AP) in the A-Division super league hockey tournament at Begumpet Police Stadium here on Tuesday. It was AGAP which shot into lead thanks to a fine solo effort by centre-forward Habib Mohammad in the 14th minute. But that turned out to be last time it really enjoyed it. For, bankmen dominated the rest of the proceedings forcing eight penalty-corners. More importantly, SBI converted the first two in the 17th through Sanjay Kumar and Bheem Singh in the 53rd minute. In the second session, SBI kept the rivals at bay and in the process struck thrice through Sanjay Kumar's penalty-corner conversion in the 55th minute, Surinder Singh's field goal and centre-forward Haranath Reddy good solo effort in the 63rd minute to complete the tally.
