MANGALORE, APRIL 12. The Indian Army will hold a three-day recruitment rally for various posts in Hassan from May 3. A press release from the branch recruiting office of the army here on Tuesday said that the recruitment process of candidates from Dakshina Kannada, Hassan and Uttara Kannada districts will be conducted on May 3. Recruitment for candidates from Udupi, Chitradurga and Chikmagalur districts be held on May 4 and for candidates from Kodagu, Davangere and Shimoga districts on May 5. However, a special rally for technical posts such as technical soldiers, nursing assistants, clerks and storekeepers will be held on May 2. Applicants in the general category for the post of soldiers should have secured at least 45 per cent marks in the Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination or should have passed the Pre-University Course. Applicants for the posts of technical soldiers and nursing assistants should have passed PUC in Science stream and applicants for the post of clerks and storekeepers should have completed PUC. Applicants should be in the age group of 17 years to 23 years. The age limit for applicants to the general soldier category is 21 years. Applicants should appear for the rally with 13 passport size photographs and negatives, documents pertaining to educational qualification and proof of residence.
