JAMMU, APRIL 12. The State Government will lodge Kashmiri Pandits in safe zones in district headquarters, following the improvement in the security situation. The decision comes in the wake of criticism by several Pandit groups that the Government is not doing anything about their return. Replying to a question in the Assembly today, the Revenue Minister, Hakim Mohammad Yaseen, said: ``For the dignified and safe return of Kashmiri migrants, it has been considered appropriate to undertake the process of return in a phased manner. The migrants will be provided an opportunity to see for themselves the improved conditions in the Valley by lodging them in security zones at district headquarters. The Minister of Home Affairs has already released Rs. 8 crores out of security-related expenditure for restoration of basic infrastructure in the villages to facilitate the return of migrants."
