Manu Sharma gets bail

NEW DELHI,
APRIL 12.
The Delhi High Court today granted regular bail to Siddharth Vashishtha alias Manu Sharma in the Jessica Lal murder case in which the ramp model was shot dead here on April 30, 1999.
Justice B.N. Chaturvedi of the High Court had granted interim bail to Manu Sharma in October last year allowing submission by counsel for the accused, Ram Jethmalani, that the conduct of his client had been to the satisfaction of the Court whenever he was earlier released on bail.
Extending his interim bail for another three months in January, Justice B.D. Ahmed had directed Manu Sharma to move an application for regular bail on the expiry of the three-month period.Manu Sharma accordingly moved the application last week, and Mr. Justice Ahmed heard the matter and allowed his plea.
