Partly cloudy

CHENNAI, APRIL 12. It will be partly cloudy on Wednesday and the maximum temperature will be around 34 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam centres recorded a maximum of 33.8 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature at Nungambakkam was 27.7 degrees Celsius and the humidity was 81 per cent. Meenambakkam recorded a minimum of 27 degree Celsius and the humidity was 86 per cent.

Seminar

A seminar on organic farming, vermi compost production, panchakavya preparation will be conducted by Naveena Velaanmai in association with State Bank of India on April 17 at Hotel Peninsula. For registrations, call 28292979.

Eye camp

A free eye screening camp was organised at Pallivakkam, Madurandagam taluk, by Rajan Eye Care hospital, in association with Rotary Club of Madras, T.Nagar, on April 10.

Over 200 patients were screened for various eye problems like cataract, refractive errors, glaucoma and diabetic eye diseases.

Workshop

The Academy for Teacher Excellence is organising a communication therapy workshop between May 2 and 6, for parents and teachers of children with special needs (autism, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment and speech defects).

School fete
