CHENNAI, APRIL 11. N. Vidhya and B. Venkatram, M.Sc. Chemistry students at the Madras Christian College will meet Nobel laureates in Lindau, Germany, this June, along with 23 other students from India during the 55th Meeting of Nobel Laureates. The two Chennai students were selected based on their interests, academic achievements, paper presentations and performance record from the time they were in school. Both Vidhya and Venkatram are interested in pursuing research in environmental science, particularly pollution control. "We hope to meet with experts in these areas," said Vidhya. Under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, the students will also visit research institutes in Germany. The Department will be funding their three-week stay in Germany. "We will be looking for research opportunities when visiting the institutes," Venkatram said.
