CHENNAI, APRIL 12. A 13-member delegation from Kenya representing non-Governmental organisations (NGOs) today called on Chief Minister Jayalalithaa at the Secretariat and commended the constructive programmes carried out by the State Government, an official release here said. The NGO activists visited different parts of the State in the last one week and acquainted themselves with welfare programmes. Appreciating the Government for implementing the cradle baby scheme, self-help group project, rainwater harvesting and protection of girl children, the delegates expressed a wish to introduce similar programmes in their country. The Kenyan NGO activists also watched Assembly proceedings.
