HYDERABAD, APRIL 11. The Hyderabad Task Force (South) team on Tuesday rounded up three persons for allegedly preparing fake bank statements and selling them to persons going abroad for jobs. A large number of counterfeit letterheads of various nationalised banks, cheque books, bank passbooks, rubber stamps and a computer system with a printer were seized from the arrested -- Ravikanth (30), Ravi Kiran Reddy (30), and K. Bheem Reddy (29). Initially, the police raided a house in Lal Darwaza and caught Ravikanth who allegedly possessed the counterfeit bank reports, the Task Force Additional DCP, K. Venkat Reddy, told a press conference. Based on his confession, police swooped down on Satya Sai Chit Fund office at Champapet and nabbed Kiran Reddy and Bheem Reddy who admitted to have supplied such forged documents. In another case, the Task Force officials caught two natives of West Bengal -- Syed Alamgir and Jagan Adok, who were carrying gold ornaments weighing five kilos. It was found that the duo came to the city to sell the jewellery, but did not get clearance from the Commercial Taxes department. They were handed over to the Commercial Taxes officials for further action.
