Plea challenging Balakrishna's acquittal admitted

HYDERABAD,
APRIL 12.
The High Court on Tuesday admitted an appeal filed by the State challenging the acquittal of cine actor Balakrishna and his wife in the sensational shooting case.
Justice Thamada Gopalakrishna admitted the appeal. He also admitted the plea challenging retraction of statements by the injured. In a related development, the petition filed by Gopalakrishna Kalanidhi, a practising advocate, seeking penal action against witnesses who turned hostile in the case, was dismissed by Justice G. Raghuram.
