NEW DELHI, APRIL 12. In view of the One-Day International match being played between India and Pakistan at the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium here this coming Sunday, the traffic police have imposed certain restrictions on movement of vehicles around the venue. General traffic will not be allowed on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from 7 a.m. onward. Only vehicles bearing labels issued by the authorities concerned will be permitted. Commuters from South Delhi and New Delhi going towards Central Delhi have been advised to take Mathura Road-Bhairon Road-Ring Road; Mandi House-Barakhamba Road-Ranjit Singh flyover-Turkman Gate-Asaf Ali Road; and Mother Teresa Crescent Road-roundabout, R.M.L.-Mandir Marg-Rani Jhansi Marg routes. For parking of vehicles along Bhairon Road, motorists would have to take Matura Road or Ring Road, while those parking their vehicles at the IGI Stadium would have to reach there via Ring Road-under I.P. Flyover-Vikas Marg and Delhi Secretariat Road. To park vehicles at the Ramlila Grounds, motorists would have to take the Mandi-House-Barakhamba Road-School Lane flyover-Turkman Gate route. "No vehicles will be allowed to be stationed on Tilak Marg, Bahadurshah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg," said the release.
