Infant's body abandoned

Unidentified persons abandoned the body of a baby boy near the Moosi nala at Jalapathnagar under Chaderghat police station area late on Tuesday night. A social worker, Mohd. Khaja, spotted the body and alerted the local police who shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital morgue and registered a case under section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of body) of IPC.

Widow's charge

against man

A 24-year-old widow approached the Mangalhat police accusing a local, Suresh, 28, of impregnating and cheating her. A resident of Raheempura, the victim was married to Srinivas in 1996. Five years later, her husband died in a road accident. Srinivas allegedly developed an illegal intimacy with her by promising to marry her and impregnated her. When the widow's family members asked Suresh to marry her, he reportedly refused. The Mangalhat police had registered a cheating case.

Tailor run over by train

A tailor, Prakash, 35, was killed when a train hit him while he was crossing the railway track between Budvel and Falaknuma areas on Tuesday. According to the Kachiguda Government Railway Police, the victim was a resident of Babulreddynagar.
