This Day That Age
Declaring that success must come to us at Bandung because we are in step with history, Prime Minister Nehru took off from Palam airport on April 15 on the first lap of his journey to Indonesia. Mr. Nehru, who was in buoyant spirits, told pressmen that he was going to Indonesia "with every hope because Bandung represents the new spirit in Asia which in itself represents the spirit of the time. When anything is in tune with the historic process, it is bound to triumph in spite of difficulties. We are marching in step with history and so success must come to us." Travelling along with the Prime Minister in the same plane were the Prime Minister of Egypt, Lt. Col. Gamal Abdel Nasser, and the Afghan Deputy Prime Minister, Sardar Mohammed Naim.
