Letters to the Editor
The RSS' criticism of Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani seems to be aimed at creating an illusion that the Bharatiya Janata Party is secular and that the sangh parivar is `annoyed' at their moderate attitude.
Amit Babalal Nahar,
There is no need for the BJP to feel embarrassed over K.S. Sudarshan's suggestion that Mr. Vajpayee and Mr. Advani should step aside. Both the leaders are well past their prime and therefore no harm would befall the BJP if they take the RSS leader's remarks seriously and step down. His views should be seen from a general and larger perspective. In fact, all the political parties should ask themselves why the age factor should not be enforced in such a crucial field as politics.
V. Rajesh,
T. Ramaswamy,
