Letters to the Editor
Sir, The demand that a statue of M.S. Subbulakshmi be installed in the temple town of Tirupati, if met, will be heartening. She is the one who wakes up the Lord through her impeccable rendering of the suprabhatam every day. Who can deny that she breathed life into the Annamacharya kritis? The great M.S. for more than six decades mesmerised packed audiences across the globe with her consummate mastery over Carnatic music, and raised it to a rare level of artistic expression.
N. Nagaraja Rao,
