ABB Q1 net at Rs. 27 crores

BANGALORE:
Power and automation technologies major ABB India has posted a net profit of Rs. 27.50 crores in the first quarter of 2005, 63 per cent higher than the first quarter of 2004. The company said its revenues for the quarter stood at Rs. 619.60 crores, up 38 per cent compared to the year ago period.
The company had an order intake of Rs. 894 crores during the quarter ending March 31, 2005, registering a 51 per cent rise over Q1 of 2004. It strengthened its order backlog to Rs. 1,583.80 crores from Rs. 1,335.60 crores at the beginning of the year and Rs. 1,166.30 crores during Q1 of 2004.
