MoU with U.S. on medical research

NEW DELHI: The Indian and U.S. armed forces signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday reviving collaboration in medical research and training. Under the MoU, medical officers of the Indian armed forces will be trained in the management of emerging infectious diseases using modern techniques, clinical trials, biological warfare and preparedness of military medical personnel in the latest techniques of casualty management.

The U.S. Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USUHS), which signed the MoU, has carried out pioneering work in the field of medical research .
